These MP3 files are actual recordings of the crews of three Lancaster bombers over the target zone.

In first recording the sound of machine gun fire can be heard as the mid-upper gunner defends and shoots down a German Night Fighter attacking their aircraft.

In the third (bottom) sound recording, the explosions of flak can be heard as well as one piece hitting and holing the Lancaster.
