Ludwig sat on the wheel of Halifax W7851 (TL-Y) of 35 Squadron which he shot down on March 8/9, 1943.

Hannes Forke is examining the wreckage of Whitley Z6575 of 58 Squadron which was the crew's first victory. This aircraft was shot down over Hamburg, two crew were killed including F/Sgt. McKay, RCAF and three others were taken prisoner.




The crew's first two victories are painted on the fin of his ßf 110. (Nov. 30, 1941)
